The debut short film by director Sam Calafiore has secured its world premiere at Reel Good Film Festival 2025, selected among a list of nationally and internationally recognised young directors. The festival proves itself once again to truly have its finger on the pulse of the new wave of filmmaking talent in our state. Sam will be participating in a panel discussion in the afternoon, and can likely be found charming fellow attendees at the rooftop bar throughout the day.

In a lovely review for Kino Topia, fellow filmmaker and writer Jasper Caverly aptly described the film as “a wonderfully measured anti-drama that captures the minutiae and banality of waiting around for work to start”.
